Get Fit at MPL

Spring is a great time to renew your efforts to get fit and improve your overall health. Fortunately, Macedon Public Library has several opportunities each week for you to do so. Consider attending all or some of the following—all are free and open to the public, and there’s no need to reserve a space. Just join us!

  • Sweat Equity Exercise Classes

Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:15 am

Designed for those aged 50 and up, these classes use a variety of routines that include elements of cardio, kickboxing and more. Currently, the class is working through the Vitality 4 Life workouts designed by Curtis Adams of the San Diego Chargers. Wear comfortable clothes and sneakers.

  • Cardio Drumming

Wednesdays from 10:30-11:15 am

This innovative program gets your heart pumped up by using exercise ball drums. You’ll beat out the rhythm to an assortment of pumped-up music to get your blood flowing while having fun. Need more information? Call Julia at 315-986-5932.

  • Gerifit

Fridays from 10-11 am

Gerifit is designed to help those over 50 remain healthy, improving balance, strength and flexibility. You’ll use light weights and stretch bands for this workout, which is a great way to improve your physical fitness while meeting new people. Wear comfortable clothes and sneakers.
