The Board of Trustees and Director have made the decision to operate the library virtually through Saturday, December 19, 2020. This difficult decision was made because a staff member recently tested positively for COVID-19. Although the staff member is doing well, and has only suffered a mild case, we are making the decision to offer virtual programming and digital materials through OWWL2Go.
At this point, no other staff member has exhibited any symptoms of the virus. To protect staff and the community from any possible risk of exposure, the library board has decided to take the precautionary measure of offering virtual services only at this time. The library will re-open for Grab ‘n’ Go service on Monday, December 21.
It is important to note the employee who tested positively does not work in direct contact with the general public. The exposure occurred on December 4 at a staff meeting.
It is out of an abundance of caution for the safety of our staff and the community that we will operate virtually until re-opening for Grab ‘n’ Go service on Friday, December 21.
We thank you for your understanding as we cautiously move forward to earn your continued trust and respect.
