In an effort to preserve medical-grade, personal protective equipment (PPE) during the current COVID-19 pandemic, the Johns Hopkins Medicine Unified Command Center has coordinated a volunteer project for the Americans to sew and donate homemade cloth masks. This masks can be used in situations for which a medical-grade PPE mask is not required. For example, a homemade mask can be given to a patient that comes to the hospital presenting with respiratory symptoms. All masks will be laundered prior to distribution.
If you are interested in participating in this important effort, please see the mask pattern by clicking the John Hopkins logo. Please follow all instructions as provided. Please use 100% cotton fabric with a pattern design (not a solid or blue and white color). Masks that do not meet this requirement may not be able to be accepted.
