ALL DAY (10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.)

TODAY is National Voter Registration Day, and we invite you to stop by the library to fill in a voter registration form. If that’s not convenient for you, there’s an ONLINE FORM that you can use for the same purpose. It’s safe, it’s free, and it’s your responsibility as a U.S. citizen.
If you’ve never voted before, don’t worry — it’s not complicated. Voting and registering to vote is very simple (and remember: you do need to register beforehand; you can’t do that on the day you vote). You’ll see if you go to the online form, for example, that you only need to type in your driver’s license number, the last four digits of your social security number, and a few other details, and then you’re all set. It will take less than five minutes of your time, and then you’ll be ready for Election Day, which is Tuesday, November 3.
There are many people on our planet who do not live in countries that give them the right to vote for their own leaders. You do, though, and we hope you’ll take advantage of this voter registration event to take the first step toward fulfilling your duty as a citizen.
