Nominated for seven Oscars, this classic John Steinbeck tale tells the story of a poor sharecropping Midwest family, the Joads, who are forced off their land during the depression and flee to California, looking for a better life. They have little money and great hope, but find they are only one of many families heading to the west coast, competing for limited jobs in the fields. As circumstances close in around them, Tom Joad finds that he cannot escape his tragic past.
