Macedon Story Book Trail a Model for Others

Thanks to the efforts of many community members, with special thanks to Carole Elaine Deys, Dick Deys and Roger Hotel, the community now has a beautiful storybook trail that can be enjoyed along Lock 30. Children learning their numbers will love sharing the Tasha Tudor story, 1 is One, as they walk along the trail with a caring adult in the beauty of the natural surroundings

The trail has been lauded by the Tasha Tudor Society and plans are in the works for other libraries to proceed with similar trails.

Have you taken a child you love to the trail? If not, make sure to plan on walking the trail this Saturday (July 27) when you attend Erie Canal Heritage Connections Event between 10 am and 4 pm. The event will be free for all community members to attend (including parking) and a wide variety of fun activities will be happening throughout the day.

Children enjoyed an Easter Egg Hunt along the Story Book Trail and heard the story read aloud as part of the fun!
Celebrate life along the Erie Canal in the 1800s by visiting Lock 30 in Macedon on July 27 from 10 am until 4 pm. A free event for the whole family to enjoy!
