Puppy Tales

Saturday, June 8

2:00-3:00 p.m.

A love of reading is one of the most valuable gifts you can give to your child. But what do you do if they don’t already love to read? Our Puppy Tales program is one solution. We invite children ages kindergarten through grade five to come read to a variety of amiable pups. The dogs are in training to become service dogs for those with disabilities, and so the experience is good experience for them. And we’ve found that kids who normally don’t want to read out loud are happy to read to their new canine buddy. That reading helps them to develop confidence and fluency.

There’s no cost, and no need to register. Just show up between 2:00 and 3:00 p.m. on Saturday and you’ll find the dogs waiting to hear a good story. Hope to see you there!
