The Friends of the Macedon Public Library will be at Barnes & Noble in Pittsford on September 29 from 11 am until 4 pm. By showing a coupon with a special code, shoppers will help to support the Friends of Macedon Public Library. There is no additional cost added to the purchase; Barnes & Noble will simply count a small percentage of the purchase toward the fundraiser.
The store will be having some fun events that day, too. For example, if you have small children, don’t miss the special Neil Armstrong themed storytime planned for 11 am. Learn about Neil Armstrong, the first man to walk on the moon, by listening to a picture book that focuses on the traits that make our heroes great. Participants will even receive a coupon from the Café for a grilled cheese sandwich with milk or juice for only $4!
Teens can meet author Jeff Minerd between noon and 2 pm. He will be happy to autograph a copy of his new book, Wizard’s Daughter.
Adults can meet author Douglas Gardham. Gardham is a Canadian author. His first book, The Actor is a compelling tale of a young man’s journey as he emerges from a delusion to pursue his love of music and confront unfinished business from his past. His second book, The Musician is the much anticipated sequel to The Actor. Gardham will sign copies of his books.
