Matt.RobbinOur Revisiting the Founding Era series has been a real eye-opener as we’ve explored a variety of issues using primary sources from the early days of our country. Now, on August 28th, we welcome Pal-Mac advanced placement history teacher Matthew Robbins to our community room for a presentation geared for high schoolers and adults. He will take a look at how contemporary debates over federal vs. state power, the balance of freedom and national security, and America’s role in aiding refugees relates to the controversies that our fore-parents dealt with in the founding era.

We have ten copies of this reader, and you’re welcome to check one out and see what it’s all about.

Sponsored by a grant from the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History and the American Library Association. We are grateful for their support.
