Are you a Macedon resident (someone who pays property taxes to the Town of Macedon)? Are you interested in positively impacting the operations of the Macedon Public Library? Do you have skills and assets you feel would benefit the library (especially skills regarding finances, advocacy and policy creation)?
If you answered “yes” to two or more of these questions, please attend the board meeting on Monday, April 24 at 6:30 pm to see for yourself what a board meeting is like. Meet the current trustees and get a feel for the issues and decisions board members tackle.
Then, if you are interested in joining, write a cover letter to President Helen Darrow and Macedon Town Supervisor Sandy Pagano describing why you would like to be on the board and what skills you have to offer. Also attach a current resume.
Being a trustee is a great way to get to understand how a library is run and to learn more about our budget process. We will have two trustees leaving soon and are hoping to have new trustees in place.
We hope to see you at the library in the Community Room on Monday evening!
