Calling All Entrepreneurs!

The Macedon Public Library will be hosting a series of workshops in partnership with SCORE (Service Corps of Retired Executives) on Wednesday evenings beginning on May 4 and running through June 8.  The workshops will be two hour sessions running from 7-9 pm in the Community Room at the library.  Those considering becoming small business owners, or those already owning a small business are encouraged to attend.  A variety of topics will be covered in the 10 hour series of workshops including: creating an effective business plan, securing funding, legalities, insurance needs, marketing, financial management and accounting.

Participants must complete an application and return it to Macedon Public Library by April 29, 2016.  All those accepted into the program will be notified prior to May 4.  There is a $40 fee due upon acceptance.  This fee helps to defray the cost of the materials given to workshop participants.  This fee has been reduced thanks to funding from a grant supplied by New York State Senator, Michael F. Nozzolio.
