Here are a few of the new adult fiction titles we’ve gotten in recently:

Contrapposto
Cricket Dib, born on the American prairie, has no particular prospects or ambitions until, in grade school, he realizes he can draw. He soon meets a girl, Olympia Argyros, one year older, who is captivating and brilliant and far more worldly. Recognizing his talent, she convinces him to deface, with profound vulgarity, a popular playground. Under her direction, he does it willingly, already in love, and thus begins a sixty-five-year entwining between Cricket and Olympia, encompassing friendship, working partnership and love affair. Together they go to art school—an experience of dubious value—and then navigate the art world for the next fifty years, together and apart.

Rocket’s Red Glare
A team of ex-Special Forces-turned-domestic ops is code-named “Rocket’s Red Glare.” Nat Phillips leads an elite roster of military mercenaries. They are ex-Special Forces, combat divers, medics, communications specialists, and intelligence officers. They are decorated veterans of the U.S. military and experts in international warfare. Now U.S.-based, these operators are in training and on stand-by until a presidential campaign is interrupted by murder. Suddenly, the plan is no longer the stuff of Mission: Impossible. Emergency operations are happening not overseas but on the island of Nantucket. This national crisis is real.

In the summer of 1985, on a scruffy resort island off the coast of France, six teenagers—five boys and one girl—band together for a final golden season before adulthood. Their days are drenched in sun and freedom, and their nights simmer with secrets, jealousy, and longing. Philippe is drawn to Nicolas, the quiet new boy who sees him in a way that no one else does. As their bond deepens, part of Nicolas remains unreachable—and then a sudden tragedy brings everything to a brutal end.
