Your Macedon Public Library is far more than just books (though those are certainly great…)! The library has additional resources available for you on a range of topics. Some need to be used in the library, others are available to you no matter where you are, as long as you have an internet connection.

- Assisted Living in New York: this handy website lists all the assisted living facilities in NYS, and can help you narrow in your choices by searching for various finance options, amenities, and more.
- Business Cards for Local Businesses: Wayne County Business Council: the Wayne County Business Council maintains this webpage, which lists local businesses. No matter what you’re looking for, why not check and see if there’s a local source for it.
- Consumer Reports: Enter your library card barcode: This is another one that must be used in the library. It provides access to Consumer Reports’ reviews of everything from cars to vacuum cleaners. It’s an invaluable resource when you are shopping for big-ticket items.
- Driver’s Test Practice (automobile, motorcycle & CDL): go to this site to take practice tests for your driver’s license test.
- Glowforge Instructional Reference: Using Vectr to Design and Importing Text & Pictures: If you’ve ever wanted to try out our Glowforge printer, here’s the instruction manual you should review first to learn how to use it.
- Install the Libby App on a Kindle Fire tablet: Reading books on your tablet device is easy. Here are simple directions for downloading the Libby app, which you’ll need to access the books of your choice.
- Kanopy: Stream Cinema, TV Shows & Documentaries: Enter Your Library Card Number: Kanopy is an awesome website that has thousands of movies, TV shows, and documentaries you can stream to your device. You just need to create an account using your library card–it’s fast and simple. You’ll be watching great flicks in a matter of minutes!
- Mango: Learn a Language: You’ll need to sign up and create a profile to use.
- Municipalities Guide 2023-24: this booklet contains contact info for local, regional, and state officials and legislators.
- NOVEL NY Research Resources (Articles and Newspapers): this info-packed database includes Britannica Academic, the New York Times from 1985-present, and a host of other full-text articles from journals and reference sites for all ages.
- Rehabilitation from Addiction Programs: information on rehab opportunities wherever you live.
- Resume Builder: you must make an account and use at the library to be able to download your beautifully formatted resume at no charge.
- SkillUp Fingerlakes: Free Online Training Access to 5,000+ courses, along with local job postings and other workforce services.
