Meet the Staff: Jeremiah Gross

Here’s another entry to our occasional “Meet the Staff” series, where we introduce you to the staffers who do the work to make the Macedon Public Library the best it can be. Jeremiah Gross is a familiar face to many since he can often be found at the circulation desk helping patrons check out books. This young man started his library career as a volunteer and is now part of the staff. Here are a few of his answers to our questions:

  • Q: How long have you worked at the library?
  • A: I’ve been working at the library since August 2021.
Q: Where are you from originally?
  • A: I am from all over Wayne County.
Q: What is your educational background?
  • A: I am a high school graduate still trying to figure out what I want to do next.
Q: What is your favorite thing about working in the library?
  • A: I love being able to help people find the resources they need, whatever those might be.
Q: Can you tell us your favorite books?
  • A: I love most things fantasy, but my two favorites are The Wonderling by Mira Bartok and The Assassination of Brangwain Spurge by M. T. Anderson and Eugene Yelchin.
Q: Why are libraries important for our community?
  • A: Libraries are an essential part of any community. They provide so many different things to so many different people.
Q: What else would you like people to know about you?
  • A: I’ve been a massive fan of Doctor Who since about middle school, so feel free to talk to me about it any time.
