The Macedon Public Library is fully open for in-person visits. Computers are available and the Discovery Room is also open. Masks are strongly encouraged for all patrons, even if you have been vaccinated. We will continue to offer “Grab and Go” services for those who prefer to place their books on hold online and then pick them up in the cabinet outside the library.
Here are a few of the new books that have come in to the library recently. We invite you to check them out!
The Ink Black Heart
When Edie Ledwell, the co-creator of the popular cartoon The Ink Black Heart, is found murdered only a few days after begging private detective Robin Ellacott for help in tracking down a mysterious online figure known only as Anomie who was persecuting her, Robin and Cormoran Strike are drawn into the quest to uncover the true identity of Anomie, a case that threatens them in horrifying ways.
The Lost Girls of Willowbrook
Six years after her twin sister’s death, 16-year-old Sage discovers a shocking secret: her sister didn’t die, she was committed to Willowbrook State School, and remained there until she recently went missing. Determined to find her, Sage walks through its doors, which changes her life in ways she never could have imagined.
The first book in the Shady Hollow series, in which we are introduced to the village of Shady Hollow, a place where woodland creatures live together in harmony—until a curmudgeonly toad turns up dead and the local reporter has to solve the case. Reporter Vera Vixen is a relative newcomer to Shady Hollow. As she stirs up still waters, the fox exposes more than one mystery and discovers that additional lives are in jeopardy. Vera finds more to this town than she ever suspected. It seems someone in the Hollow will do anything to keep her from solving the murder, and soon it will take all of Vera’s cunning and quickness to crack the case.
