The Macedon Public Library Board of Trustees has voted to open the library for in-person visits. There will be several computers available that may be used for one hour. The Discovery Room is still closed. We ask you to keep your visit short, as we will only be allowing in up to ten people at a time. We will continue to offer “Grab and Go” services for those who prefer to place their books on hold online and then pick them up in the cabinet outside the library.
Here are a few of the new books that have come in to the library recently. We invite you to check them out!
Sahvage has been living under the radar for centuries — and he has every intention of staying “dead and buried.” But when a civilian female sucks him into her dangerous battle with an evil as ancient as time, his protective side overrides his common sense. Mae has lost everything, and desperation sets her on a collision course with fate. Determined to reverse a tragedy, she goes where mortals should fear to tread — and comes face-to-face with the Brotherhood’s new enemy. She also discovers a love she never expected to find with Sahvage, but there can be no future for them. Knowing they will part, the two band together to fight against what Mae unknowingly unleashed — as the Brotherhood closes in to reclaim one of their damned, and the evil vows to destroy them all.”
Murder on Wall Street
Midwife Sarah Brandt Malloy and her detective husband, Frank, must discover who killed a prominent — but despised—society banker before an innocent family is destroyed in Murder on Wall Street. Reformed gangster Jack Robinson is working hard to bolster his image in Gilded Age New York City society as he prepares to become a new father. But when Hayden Norcross, the man who nearly ruined his wife, is shot in cold blood, Jack knows the police will soon come knocking on his door. Frank Malloy has to agree — things don’t look good for Jack. Sarah and Frank have their work cut out for them. As the daughter of the elite Decker family, Sarah has access to the social circles Hayden frequented, and the more she learns about his horrific treatment of women, the more disturbed she becomes. And as Frank investigates, he finds that Hayden had a host of unsavory habits that may have hastened his demise. But who finally killed him?
There’s something missing from Eli Garrett’s life. He loves being the sheriff of Painted Pony Creek, Montana, so it’s not his job. He’s had the same two best friends since he was a kid and he’s grateful for them, so it’s not that, either. But ever since his buddy Cord’s recent marriage, Eli has a nagging suspicion that he wants what Cord has. And there’s a beautiful woman who has caught his eye — someone who’s returned to town that he can’t get off his mind. Brynne Bailey is spirited and compassionate, and being with her makes Eli feel alive again. But he suspects there’s more to her than she is letting on, and he is determined to get to the bottom of it.
