Intermediate Microsoft Word Class

Intermediate Microsoft Word

Do you have basic Word skills, but know you really could benefit from a training that would take you beyond the most basic skills and into the realm of more advanced tools available?   Are you looking for a job or hoping to be promoted and feel as though your only rudimentary Word skills are causing you to get passed by? If so, this training series provided by FLCC qualified instructors is perfect for you!

Through funding provided by Friends of the Macedon Public Library, a four-week, virtual, Intermediate Word course will be offered virtually on Wednesday evenings between 5 pm and 7 pm, starting September 23. There will be no cost to participants for this training.  Participants need to already have basic Word skills in place, as this class will focus on intermediate skills such as:

  • Creating and managing lists
  • Customizing tables and charts
  • Working with formatting using styles and themes
  • Adding images to your documents
  • Creating customized graphic elements
  • Using templates

Other areas may be added to the training as feedback is received from participants.  All participants who attend each of the four, two hour sessions in the training series will be emailed a certificate of completion from FLCC that may be shown to employers when seeking new employment or an advancement in current employment.

For optimum learning conditions, space in this virtual class is limited to fifteen participants.  Click here to register for this class series.  Registration must be received by Wednesday, September 16.  If registration is completed, but an unforeseen circumstance causes you to need to cancel, email the library director: macedonlibrarydirector@owwl.org
