12 noon
Enjoy pizza, pop, and cookies thanks to funding from the Friends of Macedon Public Library, while you learn what to do in the event of a natural or man-made disaster. You’ll get information and tools to prepare for an emergency or disaster, respond accordingly, and recover as quickly as possible. Topics covered include developing a family emergency plan, stocking up on emergency supplies, and registering for NY-Alert, a free statewide emergency alert system. You’ll receive a training certificate and wallet-sized card with emergency preparedness information.
Sergeant Adam Winters, a trainer for the N.Y.S. Citizen Preparedness Corps, will lead this important training. All those between the ages of 12 to 112 are invited to attend and learn how to be best prepared in an unexpected emergency situation. The training is especially helpful for youngsters involved in scouting who are working on badge requirements. Space in this training is limited. Please call 315-986-5932 to register your attendance.
