Kid Time: Movie & Activity

Wednesday, November 20

3:00 p.m.

November brings colder weather and a desire to hunker down somewhere warm and do something fun—like watch a movie!

On November 20, we’ll be showing Ratatouille for children in grades three through five in November, followed by an activity such as Lego building, craft projects, and board games. Pal-Mac intermediate students will need to have a parent send a letter of permission to be released to the library directly from school.Note that there will NOT be a movie next week, November 27 because of the Thanksgiving holiday.

Movie summary: A rat named Remy dreams of becoming a great French chef despite his family’s wishes and the obvious problem of being a rat in a decidedly rodent-phobic profession. When fate places Remy in the sewers of Paris, he finds himself ideally situated beneath a restaurant made famous by his culinary hero, Auguste Gusteau. Despite the apparent dangers of being an unlikely, and unwanted, visitor in the kitchen of a fine French restaurant, Remy’s passion for cooking soon sets into motion a hilarious and exciting rat race that turns the culinary world of Paris upside down. 2007. Rated G. One hour, 51 minutes.
