6:30 p.m.
All attendees receive a free plant, compliments of Wayside Garden Center.

Come and learn how you can help protect local water quality by planting a rain garden in your yard. Homeowners can disconnect the downspouts on their house and direct the rainwater from their roof to a rain garden where the water soaks into the ground and waters the plants.
Rain gardens look like regular gardens and are only wet for a few hours after a rain storm. Rain gardens keep water out of the storm sewer system where it becomes polluted and contributes to local flooding problems. Come and learn how easy it is to disconnect your downspout and install a rain garden in your yard. Pre-registration is required, so that we know how many plants to bring from Wayside.
