Are you having difficulty hearing what your family and friends are saying to you? When you are in a noisy environment do you find it frustrating to follow along in conversations? 38 million Americans have hearing loss. Seeking out appropriate testing can make the quality of your life markedly better because there are many assistive devices available that can dramatically improve your ability to socialize and connect with others.
Eric Matson will discuss how you know when a visit to the audiologist is indicated. He will also detail some of the modern devices available to people once a hearing impediment has been properly diagnosed.
Matson is a member of the Rochester Chapter of the Hearing Loss Association of America and leads “Project Hear Clear” which provides a portable, hi-tech assisted listening system to non-profit organizations at no charge for large events. His mission is to improve the quality of life for those with hearing loss throughout the Greater Rochester area. Matson formerly traveled the world as a principal engineer for the Carrier Corporation. His own hearing loss prompted his retirement and led to his involvement as a volunteer hearing loss educator and technology provider. Please call 315-986-5932 to register your attendance. There is no fee to attend.
