If you are unfamiliar with the tarot, these fascinating playing cards have been used since the mid-15th century both for playing card games and for predicting the future. We’ll use these often-beautiful cards in another way: as a tool to help unlock your creative writing potential. Discover a new way to prompt story and character ideas—we’ll use card images to help get your creative juices flowing. Melissa Bond, an experienced tarot card reader, will give an introduction into the major arcana of the decks, and will have multiple cards for you to choose from to start writing. She’ll guide you through the process of writing based on what you see in the cards. There’s no fee, and no need to bring anything other than a pad of paper and pen. Please call us at 315-986-5932 to let us know if you’re coming, or stop by the library and add your name to the sign-up sheet.
