Geri-Fit Workout Program

Mondays and Thursdays, January 14-April 11 (no class 1/21 and 2/18)

10:15-11:00 a.m.

seniors-exercising.jpgWe’re looking for volunteers for a three-month video-led fitness study conducted by the Geri-Fit Company and Macedon Public Library. Volunteers must be over 65 and not be doing any kind of strength training exercises (walking, tai chi or yoga is okay). Most of the exercises will be performed seated in a chair, and you will not have to get on the floor. Participants should bring their own set of two or three pound dumbbell weights, a stretch band, and water to drink during the workout. Upon completion of the 12 week study each participant will fill out a survey to help evaluate the program and to determine if their strength, stamina, balance and range of motion has improved. Limited space is available–sign up by calling us at 315-986-5932 or stopping by the library.
