Sock Dying with Julia

socks 2Socks are a vital part of just about any clothing ensemble, so you’d do well to have a wide range of styles and color choices to choose from in your sock drawer. At the Macedon Public Library, we want to help you expand your sock horizons by offering a workshop where you’ll create a pair of motley (ie, hand dyed and mismatched) socks that will make you the envy of your neighborhood. Our Resident Sock Expert (RSE), Julia Koberlein, will provide all the materials (a pair of socks and multiple colors of dye) and guide you in the techniques that will allow you to craft the most colorful, eye-catching pair of socks ever seen in the Macedon area.

You don’t need to bring anything (you get a free pair of socks out of this! Think of it!), but we do ask you to register beforehand so we know how many pairs of footwear to have on hand. Just give us a call at 315-986-5932. This class is appropriate for adults and teens. Make a pair for yourself or give someone the best Christmas present they’ve ever gotten with these unique, one-of-a-kind socks.
