Author Darlene Chissom will be visiting to discuss her book, A Stroke of Love. Five copies of the book are available in the library for borrowing. The book details the daily experiences of a wife whose husband, a hard working, upstate NY farmer, has suffered a significant stroke. It will resonate with anyone who has gone through a life-threatening medical situation with a loved one. All are welcome to attend whether they have read the book in advance or not.
The book has a five star rating on Amazon.com. Kirkus Reviews says of it, “An intimate and loving account that should be comforting and helpful to those dealing with a similar health situation.” Darlene Chissom is a professional photographer who has been married to her husband, Phill, for nearly 30 years.
