Are you considering opening your own business? Perhaps you already own a business, but would like to know more about a variety of topics so you can improve your operations?
If you answered “yes” to either of the questions above, you will want to register for the Entrepreneur Workshop series being offered in the Community Room at the Macedon Public Library on a series of five Wednesdays this fall from 7-9 pm. The workshop is offered by SCORE and Macedon Public Library. Participants will learn from current and retired professionals about a variety of topics including: legal issues, insurance needs, marketing tips, business plan creation, available resources through local libraries, securing an SBA loan, securing a loan from a bank, and budgeting.
Approximately 40 people have participated in previous workshop series. New businesses have been successfully launched locally such as: Mrs. Brake’s Spices. Etc. located on Route 332 in Farmington and Kitten Around Cat Boarding on Main Street in Macedon.
There is a $40 fee due upon registration. The fee is reduced by $19 thanks to a “scholarship” created by former Senator Michael Nozzolio.
