This class is an excellent opportunity for youngsters hoping to earn extra money or for those interested in earning badges as members of the Boy Scouts or Girl Scouts. Taught through classroom discussion, instructor lecture and supplemented by an interactive video presentation, this 5 hour class for boys and girls ages 11 and older teaches participants the role and responsibilities of a babysitter and includes skills in: accident prevention, basic first aid, emergency recognition, abdominal thrusts for choking victims, and a demonstration of CPR. Each student will receive a certification card upon completion. Students need to bring a pen or pencil the day of the program. A pizza lunch will be provided.
