MPL Displays Canandaigua Treaty of 1794

Macedon Public Library will have a replica of the Canandaigua Treaty of 1794 on display in the Bullis Room window.  The Treaty is a woven belt and those viewing the treaty may also be interested in trying their hand at weaving on a small scale loom located on the table in front of the Bullis Room window.

Monroe Community College Professor Emeritus, Richard Hamell, created the replica and has loaned it to the library for display.  The display and availability of a small loom create the conditions for history to come alive for local community members opting to visit the library.
