Thanks to funding from the LGBT Giving Circle, participants will join special discussion facilitators, Gregory Gerard and Eric Stratton, for a discussion of this 2015 Printz Award winning book by Jandy Nelson.
Gregory Gerard teaches writing part-time at Writers & Books, Rochester’s contemporary literary center. His memoir, In Jupiter’s Shadow (Infinity Publishing, 2009) chronicles a religious teen’s struggle with forbidden same-gender attraction while growing up in 1980s Rochester. His work has been published by Tiny Lights, Jonathan, Lake Affect and more.
Eric Stratton is an educator with experience in elementary education, special education and designing training for Health Care professionals. Eric is a member of the Flower City Pride Band, Rochester’s LGBTQ marching band, and travels to march in LGBTQ parades across the northeast.
