Community Read: GO SET A WATCHMAN

Community members in Macedon and Palmyra can attend a discussion of Go Set a Watchman led by Professor Edwards from Empire State College.  The book, claimed to be Harper Lee’s first rendition of what became To Kill a Mockingbird, has aroused much attention since its release mid-July.  Many question the quality of the writing, but many of the ideas contained within the novel are highly provocative and worthy of discussion.

A second discussion of the book will also be offered at the Palmyra Community Library on Monday, October 5 as part of their Books Sandwiched In program.  There is a $5 fee to attend as lunch will be served.  Local writer Camy Sorbello will lead this discussion.

Finally, on October 15 at noon, The Friends of Macedon Public Library will also host a discussion of the book.  Attendees are welcome to bring a lunch and discuss the book with all in attendance.
