Murder at Freedom Hill
This gentle mystery is a perfect read for lovers of maritime cozies. The charming, quiet coastal setting of a quaint village on Lake Ontario makes a perfect backdrop and counterpoint for the shocking murder that occurs early one morning at an historic site, just outside the village of Lighthouse Cove, NY. Edmund DeCleryk, former Navy SEAL and retired Lighthouse police chief turned criminal consultant, is hired by current police chief Carrie Ramos to investigate the murder along with handsome detective, Brad Washington, but the investigation hits roadblock after roadblock until a turn of events helps them solve the case.

Tilt
Annie is nine months pregnant and shopping for a crib at IKEA when a massive earthquake hits Portland, Oregon. With no way to reach her husband, no phone or money, and a city left in chaos, there’s nothing to do but walk. Making her way across the wreckage of Portland, Annie experiences human desperation and kindness: strangers offering help, a riot at a grocery store, and an unlikely friendship with a young mother. As she walks, Annie reflects on her struggling marriage, her disappointing career, and her anxiety about having a baby. If she can just make it home, she’s determined to change her life.

Salt water
The world was shocked by playwright Sarah Lingate’s death thirty years ago at a Moorish, whitewashed villa on the island of Capri. Absolved of the crime, the Lingate family maintains that what happened that night was a tragic accident, and every July they come back to prove it’s true. This time, Helen Lingate, sole heir to the family fortune, has a plan. Tightly controlled by her father, Helen enlists the help of the family assistant, Lorna Silva, to free herself from her family’s grip. But behind closed doors, the legendary Lingate family unity is at a breaking point. Upon arrival to their villa in Capri, a gift is waiting for them: the necklace Sarah was wearing the night she died. In the aftermath, the paranoid, insular Lingates begin to unravel.
