Programs for Seniors

If you are aged 50 or over, your library has a broad range of programs that offer education, entertainment, and even exercise opportunities. Stop by when you can and join others who share your interests for one of these enjoyable events.

Exercise Class

Thursdays, April 10, 17, and 24 from 6-6:40 p.m.

Anyone aged 50 and older who is looking for a cardio and strength workout can join us for this fun class. Trainer Kristi Jung will lead participants in a series of light exercises designed to keep you fit in your golden years. Wear loose-fitting, comfortable clothing and sneakers, and bring a bottle of water to stay hydrated. No need to register—just drop in and join us!

Community Sing-A-long with Live Music

Saturday, April 5, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

Join us for a sing-a-long featuring popular songs from the 40s, 50s, 60s, and 70s in the pop and country genres. Lyric books are provided thanks to funding from the Friends of the Macedon Public Library. Live music is provided by local musicians. No need to register, and anyone aged 16 and above is welcome!Senior Meet & Eat

Fourth Friday of every month, 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

Have fun playing games, doing crafts, eating your own bagged lunch with others, and enjoying a live music sing-a-long. All seniors are welcome, and we especially invite those with Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia and their caretakers. Let us know if you’ll be attending by emailing Stacey at swicksall@owwl.org.

Macedon Senior Meeting

First and third Mondays of every month, noon-1 p.m.

These meetings are for seniors to socialize and plan short trips to exciting destinations. We invite you to bring a bagged lunch to enjoy on the first Mondays, and on the third Mondays, bring a dish to pass and enjoy a potluck luncheon.
