Where the Jack 0′ Lanterns Are

When: Friday, October 20 / 5:00-6:30 p.m.

Where: Macedon Public Library

On Friday we will be having an event that is rapidly becoming a Macedon tradition. “Where the Jack o’ Lanterns Are” features 50 splendidly carved jack o’ lanterns made by your friends and neighbors—maybe you even did one yourself! The pumpkins will be on display and you can vote for your favorites by placing a dollar in the box that is next to each pumpkin. All proceeds benefit Literacy Volunteers of Wayne County, helping hundreds of local residents to learn the joys of reading.

Of course, we’ll have more than just pumpkins:

  • Children under 12 will receive a Halloween treat, while supplies last
  • There will be a family-friendly music concert with Farmer Tom
  • If the weather allows, we’ll have trunk or treating
  • If you’re feeling hungry, join our pie eating contest
  • We’ll have activity stations throughout the library
  • Come as you are or wear your Halloween costume

There’s no fee to attend, but be sure to bring some dollars to vote for your fave Jack o’ lantern! We hope to see you there!
