Book Sale Starts Today!

we’re not gonna lie.

The Macedon Public Library Book Sale is one of our biggest fundraisers each year, and the funds earned through the sale go a long way toward supporting our mission of connecting people and ideas.

It’s also great fun. You’ll find our community room full to the gills with books: nonfiction, fiction, mysteries, bestsellers, children’s books, young adult novels, how-to guides—really, the sky’s the limit. Prices are very reasonable, and if you come on Saturday, October 14, you can buy a Friends of the MPL bag for a dollar and fill it up with books, glorious books, for three dollars. If you already have a Friends bag, bring it and use that, and you’ll just pay the three bucks.

The sale begins today, Thursday, October 12, from 10-8, and continues tomorrow, Friday, from 10-2 and Saturday, from 10-2 in the Community Room at the MPL.

And just to make the day more fun, we will be having a 50/50 fundraiser. Tickets are five for three dollars, and if you’re feeling lucky, we suggest you purchase a couple and see if it works out for you. Your winnings could pay for more books, after all!

But wait—there’s more! On Saturday, you can pick up a delicious meal of barbecued chicken at the library, catered by the great chefs at Double D’s Catering in Canandaigua. All proceeds fund library programs, so it’s a true win-win: you’re helping the library meet the needs of our community while getting your hands on some of the best barbecue in Upstate New York.
