Be Crafty at Macedon Public Library

If you only come to the library to check out books or DVDs, you should know that there is a world of crafty activities also available at the Macedon Public Library! We have a wealth of classes and workshops for you to be creative and make your own jewelry, decorations, and more. Most are free or very low cost, and take only an hour or two of your time. Cheer With Sally

6:00-7:00 p.m.

Make two attractive cards that you can send for the holidays or any reason. There is a supply fee of $7.50. Register HERE.

Mandala Earrings

1:00-2:00 p.m.

Color these attractive laser-cut mandala earrings using materials provided by the library. Coordinate the colors in the earrings to your own wardrobe to create customized jewelry that works for you. There is no cost, but supplies are limited. Register HERE.

DIY Easy-Sew Bean Bag Phone or Tablet Stand

11:00 a.m.-noon

Sew your own beanbag to use as a phone or tablet stand. No experience is necessary, and all materials—including the sewing machines—are provided by the library. There are lots of fabric choices available! Supplies and machines are limited, so register as soon as possible HERE.

Quilted Potholders

Monday, September 11

6:00-8:00 p.m.

Join Ruth Sargent to learn how to make these machine-sewn potholders. This is a good opportunity for anyone interested in learning how to piece together fabric to make a quilt pattern or for those wishing to learn more about how to do basic sewing using a machine. Participants may bring their own sewing materials, but machines, tools, and fabric will be available at the library. Made possible by funding from the Friends of the MPL. Needle-Felted Fall Leaves

Spend an hour using the library’s needle-felting wool and tools to make a small collection of wool leaves to decorate your home. There is no cost, but supplies are limited. Register for your spot HERE.

Painting Class with Steve Duprey

Paint something beautiful with Steve! He will provide all the materials needed to paint this subtle forest scene. No experience is necessary, all artistic levels are welcome.
