Family Lore

Sisters Matilde, Pastora, Camila, and Flor thought they knew each other well, until Flor—inspired by a documentary her daughter Ona made her watch—decides she wants a living wake, a party to bring her family and community together and celebrate the long life she’s led, while she’s still around to enjoy it. She’s not ill, as far as anybody knows, but Flor does have a gift: she can predict, to the day, when someone will die. Has she foreseen her own death, or someone else’s, or does she have other motives? Told with Elizabeth Acevedo’s inimitable voice, this is an indelible portrait of one family’s journey through their history helping them better navigate all that is to come.

Fire With Fire (Large print edition)

Following their daughter’s mysterious disappearance, Ryan and Elsie Delaney have taken the LAPD forensic lab hostage, and have given law enforcement an ultimatum: Find their daughter, Tilly, or they will destroy all the evidence they can find on other cold cases. Detective Charlie Hoskins has no choice but to find Tilly himself, or lose everything he’s worked for as the lab burns. For Lynette Lamb, figuring out what happened to Tilly is her one and only chance at rejoining the career she’s prepared her whole life for. Hoskins and Lamb will have to team up to solve this cold case, and will have to move fast — before the situation explodes.

Resonance Surge

Pavel and Yakov Stepyrev have been a unit since birth, but now Pavel’s life is veering in a new direction, his heart held in the hands of Arwen Mercant, a Psy empath. A low-Gradient Psy, Theodora Marshall is considered worthless by everyone but her violently powerful twin, Pax. She is the sole person he trusts in their venomous family to investigate a hidden and terrible part of their family history. And now Theo must uncover the awful truth—in the company of a scowling bear named Yakov, who isn’t about to take a Marshall at face value … especially a Marshall who has turned his dreams into chilling nightmares. Because Yakov is the great-grandson of a foreseer … and he has seen Theo die in an unstoppable surge of blood.
