Friends of the MPL Book Discussion and Meeting

This month, the Friends of the Macedon Public Library will be discussing the book The Girls in the Picture, by Melanie Benjamin. From the author of the wonderful The Aviator’s Wife, this book is a rich exploration of two Hollywood friends who shaped the movies: screenwriter Frances Marion and film star Mary Pickford. “Full of Old Hollywood glamour and true details about the pair’s historical careers … a captivating ode to a legendary bond,” said Real Simple magazine about the book.
