One of our most popular children’s programs, this is a win-win: your children ages K-5 get to read a book to a furry companion to develop confidence and fluency while reading out loud. The dogs, meanwhile, are in training to become service animals, and get valuable socialization skills by interacting with the children and their families. Everyone—both two- and four-legged— has fun, and everyone learns something!
No registration is required and there is no fee. Just come to the library and have your child pick out a book. The dogs will be stationed throughout the libraries, just waiting for someone to read them a good book.
