Alzheimer’s Education/Memory Lane

Thurs. 9/8: 2 pm. Alzheimer’s Education Series: “Managing Grief and Guilt”

Explore why individuals feel guilty and share communication tips for handling guilt. The session will also cover the causes and responses of grief for those caring for a loved one with Alzheimer’s disease.

*The location for this program is at Parkwood Heights Independent Living Center in Macedon.*

While spouses and caregivers are attending the Alzheimer’s Education series, those with an Alzheimer’s Disease diagnosis are welcome to attend this relaxed session filled with activities to promote nostalgia and socialization. Singing, examining artifacts from bygone times, watching old commercials and looking at pictures are among some of the activities participants may engage.
