Second Annual Macedon Community Playwright Contest

The Macedon Community, Wayne Writers Guild and Macedon Public Library are partnering to offer a contest for playwrights age 18 or older.  Ten talented playwrights will have their play chosen to be showcased at a reading to be held at the Macedon Public Library on Saturday, April 23 at 2 pm.

Playwrights can submit a play consisting of no more than two pages using Times New Roman font in either 11 or 12 point size.  The plays must also be limited to only two characters.  All plays must be mailed or delivered to the Macedon Public Library, 32 Main St., Macedon, NY 14502 or to Books, ETC., 78 West Main St., Macedon NY 14502.  All entries must be submitted in person or postmarked by March 27, 2016.

Playwrights must not write their name on their play entry.  Their name must be written only on the official entry form that may be picked up at the Macedon Public Library or at Books, Etc.   Entry forms should be paperclipped to to the top of the play.

Playwrights are advised to make a copy of their work as plays will not be returned.

Participants can enter an unlimited number of plays, however, only one entry per playwright will be read at the library event.
